Actor Allu Arjun received relief from the High Court, which granted him interim bail while hearing the quash petition he had filed. The police, who identified Allu Arjun as A11 in the Sandhya Theater stampede case, disclosed in the remand report that he was arrested at 1:30 PM.

During the hearing, the Public Prosecutor (PP) requested the court to defer the quash petition to Monday, stating the matter was not urgent. The PP suggested that since Allu Arjun was already arrested, he could file a separate bail petition if necessary. However, Allu Arjun's lawyer, Niranjan Reddy, argued that interim bail should be granted within the context of the quash petition itself.

Reddy explained that Allu Arjun routinely visits theaters on the release day of his films. He further stated that the theater management and producer had informed the police of the actor’s presence at Sandhya Theater at 9:40 PM, where he remained on the first floor. The lawyer emphasized that the woman who tragically lost her life in the stampede was on the ground floor.

The PP contended that allowing a lunch motion in the afternoon without urgency might send the wrong message. The High Court instructed the PP to address the issue of granting interim bail within the quash petition. The PP argued that Allu Arjun had been previously advised by the police not to visit the theater, knowing it could draw large crowds. Despite this, the actor proceeded to the venue.

The PP also noted that interim bail was not explicitly mentioned in the quash petition and reiterated the lack of urgency in hearing the case. Conversely, Allu Arjun's lawyer pointed out that although the police were informed of the actor's plans, adequate security was not provided. Instead, he claimed that the police were more interested in meeting Allu Arjun than ensuring public safety.
